Yes, its true. Snakes are starting to wake up early in the Northern rivers, due to the unusually warm early spring we are having.

Quite a few locals have spotted snakes on properties and roads lately.

We have Wildtrak snake bite first aid kits in store right now.

Anyone who lives in the bush, has a bushy yard, lives near to the bush or a wildlife corridor or near a nature reserve needs to consider keeping one of these types of first aid kits on hand for quick response in the event of a snake bite.

These also should be thrown in with the camping gear for obvious reasons.

Each kit contains:

  • 1 Cotton gauze swabs 3 pack (7.5 x 7.5)
  • 1 Emergency blanket (2.1 x 1.6)
  • 4 BZK Antiseptic wipes
  • 2 Large vinyl gloves
  • 3 Compression bandages
  • 1 Snake bite instruction card
  • 1 Marker
  • Snake bite first aid guide and CPR instruction card
  • 420D nylon oxford pouch with handle

You can also customise these kits by adding a few of your own bits and pieces to it if you wish.

If you cant make it in to our store to obtain one of these kits, you can purchase one on our website HERE.

Take care while hiking in the Australian bush and HAVE FUN!
