Radix nutrition creates amazing dehydrated meals that are perfect for hiking and camping.

Carrying or carting heavy loads with you is one of the potential banes of the camping and hiking experience. Whether its your sleeping bag, your spoon, or your cup, what may not seem like much initially, will weigh you down quickly when the weight is combined with the weight of your other items. It is important (especially when hiking) to ensure that you have packed items that weigh as little as possible, which includes food.

This is where specially dehydrated food packs come in. They have been developed with the hiking and camping experience in mind and there are usually at least 2 or 3 serves in each packet.

Radix Nutrition uses only premium, natural ingredients.

We have something for all diet preferences.

These products have a shelf life of about 5 years, so not only are they ideal for hiking, they are all so a very good idea for people who live in areas that are prone to getting the roads cut off during yearly flooding events. That way you will not be caught in the house without food for potentially days on end.

They are also ideal for travel, you may find yourself in a situation where food is not nearby when you need it. All you need is access to boiling water and you have an instant and nutritious meal for you and your children or companions.

Its also a good idea to have one or 2 in the glove box of your car for when you are away from home and find yourself in a situation where you do not have access to food.

Keep some in the cupboard at home in case you run out of food and money before payday!

Take a few with you to a festival, so that you are not relying on expensive festival food, and so you can eat late at night after vendors have closed.

Take some in to work and hide them in your desk drawer or locker. If you forget to bring your lunch one day, you will not go hungry!

Take a packet on a plane with you just in case the food on offer is not enough to satisfy your appetite. Air hosts can provide you with access to boiling water.

If you are going on a cycling adventure, take one of these and an insulated, liquid vessel (like a Stanley) full of boiling water. Instant lunch in the middle of nowhere.

These are also handy for fulltime workers who live alone and have days where they struggle to find the energy to prepare dinner. This is a great nutritious option for those days when you would otherwise skip dinner.

School kids - If you find yourself in a situation where you are unable to prepare a child's lunch for any reason, just throw one of these in their bags (providing they are old enough to use boiling water).

School Camp - Pack one or two for your child to take on school camp, just in case the meals provided do not cater for your child's appetite.

The average person is unlikely to realise that they should have some of these on hand, so this is a great extra option to put in to a food hamper gift.

Pack a few on board next time you are boating! An easy option so that you can eat without it interrupting your fishing or recreational activities.

Basically, everyone, even those who are not hiking or camping, should have at least a couple of these in their cupboards for emergency situations and at least one in their car too.

There are lots of options, to suit many tastes. You can view most of the options that we have available on our website HERE.

We also have Back Country Cuisine brand dehydrated food on hand. There are options for meat eaters and vegetarians.
