The QUIKSET trap departs from conventional designs by using a flexible skeleton-style frame with four arms extending from a central hub with loops at each base corner. To set it up simply unfold the three arms that have the corners permanently attached and lock them into place.
With your other hand, grab the mesh of the remaining corner, making sure the ring is poking out the top. Use your thumb to run down the fourth leg, slowly bending it into position as you go.
When you reach the end, hook the final split ring through the loop on that leg – and its ready to go! The arms flex under tension, forming a stable pyramid shape without the bulky rigid wireframes. When not in use, the arms collapse inward for compact storage in the supplied mesh bag. The mesh is supported and shaped with low-stretch ropes and bindings sewn into the trap’s frame, ensuring compliance with regulated dimensions while maintaining a distinctive and functional appearance.
The Quikset Pyramid Yabby Trap is designed to be legal in all states and territories, where they are able to be used.
The top entry is 20cm x 20cm, set 15cm above the base of the trap, where the mesh on the base of the trap is 60cm x 60cm.
